There’s a simple way to spend less on fuel: just observe the speed limit! In most cars, fuel-efficiency rapidly decreases when you go above 96 km/h. In fact, for every 8 km/h you go over this limit, you can expect to pay about an extra RM 0.25 per litre of petrol.
On the other hand, driving at sensible speeds can save you up to 33 % in fuel on highways, and up to 5 % when driving around town.
It’s something every driver knows: driving slower saves fuel. It’s better for the planet, it saves you cash, it avoids you from being summoned for speeding and it’s something you can do right away!
