Our dearest government had spent a whopping RM 20 billion in the past few years on weapons!
Those weapons purchased were of 2nd or 3rd grade. But we paid a 1st grade price. Even if we purchase those weapons, if there were to be a war, Msia won’t be able to sustain any attack.
Opposition parties have found out that most of the weapons were not purchased by open tender but by direct negotiations. When the Defence Ministry was questioned on this, they gave the reason that direct negotiations were made to avoid over-exposure of our defence power.
Haha, actually, that was a naive reply. If you purchase weapons in international market, there is no way that other people don’t know your defence power.
When some parties proposed that our government buy up PLUS highways or other highways, our government said that involves a lot of cost. But when those RM 20 billion weapons were purchased, there was no parliamentary approval. So, what say you?
Haha, of course.... See who the Defence Minister is at that time. By any chance is he the fellow who buy helicopter last time?
